That Secret Ingredient

Hello all!

Last week, someone in my circle of influence asked me,

“Why do you talk about faith so much?”

It’s pretty much impossible for me to get into all the reasons in just a facebook message, but here goes.

If you’ve seen Kung Fu Panda, you’ll hear about a Secret Ingredient. Through a succession of trials, the main character, Po, travels a journey of self discovery that leads him to the awareness, that all greatness will come from within him.

He doesn’t need a magic pill, he doesn’t need magic words, and he didn’t need to prove himself with great deeds before he could say he was great.

He already was great. All he needed was to believe that he was.

I had a great chat with Anthony Hosking of Motivational Radio last week.

He was always taught to have faith. When he was 14, he decided he wanted to play the piano.

He didn’t need a magic pill, he didn’t need magic words, and he didn’t need to prove himself with great deeds before he could say he was great.

He already was great. All he needed was to believe that he was.

Guess what. He became an accomplished pianist.

A little over a year ago, he wanted to make the world’s largest Motivational Radio channel on the internet.

Using no magic pills, or hearing magic words, he took action. He never even had to have the largest radio station on the internet before he could pull it off.

Last week, they topped 1.4 million listeners. He’s well on his way to having the largest motivational radio channel on the internet.

The secret ingredient? Faith.

So, in light of all this, tomorrow, September 2nd, 2010 – I’m going to open up a webinar about faith. Of course, if you’ve been here even a little the last while, you probably know that’s what Infusion is all about.

The next step (if you haven’t got Infusion yet) is to come to this webinar. Quite honestly, the information I’m going to be sharing in it could just be your magic pill.

Come on by.

If you can’t make it for whatever reason…. still Carpe Fidem … everywhere you go.

The Epidemic of Indecision

Well, that last post was lots of fun. It seems whenever I confront an issue (like I did over here) that people’s feathers get ruffled.

Indecision is another one of those topics, it seems. Lots of people try to defend their indecisive habits. I know I did… and I’ll bet I still do in some areas.

Where does this cancer of indecision stem from??

I urge you to practice making decisions. If you find yourself looking to others to make the decision for you, you will fall back to a level of dependency. If it goes unchecked, it could even escalate to a state of self-induced slavery, where the decisions will be rightfully taken from you.

If you don’t really know what to do, just seize faith. Your own decisions (even if they’re the wrong ones) are better than the ones others impose upon you.

Less is More, More or Less

There is a saying that goes, “Less people need to be like most people… and most people need to be like less people.”

This was something that truly confused me for about three days as I came to grips what was really being said.

I mean, I knew that the masses usually don’t have a clue when it comes to success, fulfillment, leadership, and the like. It’s evident when we see Kiyosaki’s Quadrant and the statistic that says 95% of the nation is working for money and controlling 5% of the nation’s wealth… and the other 5% of the nation has money working for them, and they control the other 95% of the wealth.

So, yes, obviously here, most people need to be like less people.

But less people need to be like most people. This phrase stumped me. Logically, I can’t agree that the smaller amount of people need to go out and be like the rest of the world.

Here’s what’s really being said. Most people are living each day just like the last. Most people have lives of mediocrity. Most people don’t push their comfort zone and build their dreams because they have the illusion that it’s more comfortable to build someone else’s.

We need less people like that. We need more who want to live each day like it’s their last, embrace a life of boundless possibility, and break barriers to build a legacy of their own.

The world is calling out for you to be great. Fulfill this demand, and you shall be like less people.

Blessings!
