The Sum of All Successes!

The actual answer to Why You are a Winner and how to live a life that’s Rollin’ With the Punches is so ridiculously simple… ironically, it becomes the #1 downfall.

The Goal.

I don’t care what success coach you follow, what philosopher you study, or what faith you’ve chosen. This is the basic principle behind anything achieved.

You have to have such a burning desire to attain a vision…

Having this gets you learning, growing, and sharing with others who are like-minded. Focusing on a goal has the ability to prepare you for obstacles… and turns them into stepping stones!

Even successful actions literally become a reflex when you focus on a crystal-clear image of the kind of life you want.

Take Valerie. She set herself some awesome fitness goals late last year… and today she’s coming into the vision she set for herself.

How on earth did she get past the sore muscles… the exhaustion after a work out… the shortness of breath after countless cardios… the temptations to eat unhealthy foods… the dripping sweat??

She held fast to that vision. If she didn’t, all those ‘punches’… you know – those things that could really make her doubt her choices… they would overcome her desire to reach her goal.

This is the fundamental principle to being a winner!

Again, I’m sorry it’s anti-climatic… maybe even disappointing… un-motivational… but you cannot neglect this!!

Visualize a Goal!

So.. if you don’t have one yet.. you’re not in the group of the elite…. so – stands to reason… You’ve got to set one.

Shoot – think about it! If you don’t know where you’re going, how are you going to get there?

Let’s do this right now. If you haven’t got a goal.. a vision, you’re going to get one today — and you’ll be lead through the process laid out by a man who devoted over a quarter century studying success and its principles. Napoleon Hill. When you’ve completed this… you will be inducted into that prestige group! Ready??

  1. So first, set it.. make it tangible and concise. It’s not good enough just to say, “I want some money” or “I wish we’d all just get along” or “I wanna lose some weight”. It’s gotta be, “I want to make ‘X’ amount of dollars” or “My spouse and I will ‘make music’ ___ hours at a time ___ days a week.” or “I’m going to release 15 pounds.”
  2. Decide what you’re gonna do to get it. “I will sell ‘Y’ amount of product or service.” Commit to a date night ever single week, or in the case of releasing the 15 pounds, decide to get on that exercise machine 5 days a week.
  3. Now, set a timeline. Here, you can use either a specific date… or like me.. use an event like your child’s birthday, or the family reunion, or State Fair. (you may find yourself a little more emotionally attached to an event than a date)
  4. Plan! If you fail to plan, you plan to fail. You will know what plans you need to make in order to get this stuff done! Oh.. yeah.. and get goin’ on it. Check out Edward Elliott’s post about getting it going.
  5. Write it out. These first four steps have got to be visual for you. Summarize it into a few sentences… You’ve got to get this literally vibrating out of your core… through your arms.. and through to a keyboard/pen/iPad… whatever and onto something that you can look at.. because it ties in with —-
  6. Read it out loud… at LEAST two times a day, but work towards having this a constant feed into your brain. Your mind will thank you tremendously for its new-found freedom. This is how faith is nurtured (you know.. The Hardest Work We Will Ever Do)

So.. I’m telling you… Be the top 5%. Be fully equipped to roll with the punches! Do those steps. Don’t even leave this website until you’ve got all the way through step 5.

In fact, that statement you write out … that Step #5… make it your comment at the bottom of this post. By the way… I track this site well… I’ll know whether you did #5 or not!

My commitment to seeing you succeed is so great, this is why I made these last few posts! Why I’m asking you to take this next level of commitment, and by posting your #5 as a comment here, you are adding to your accountability… aaaannnddd… you have the opportunity to share with the world what business you’re building —> another great gift I give you today!

After you’re done, copy and paste your comment to a word processor.. print out a whole bunch onto small pieces of paper… laminate one – put it in your pocket. Tape another one to your computer, and even more to your mirror, fridge, TV… and embrace step #6. remind yourself constantly of this goal.. and eventually, you’ll be saturated with these thoughts and will come up with even more ways to make it happen – regardless of obstacles, outside circumstance, or negative influence.

Then… take comfort.

Because now – you are most definitely that winner!

Why You are a Winner!

We had an awesome conversation on the last blog post: Rollin’ with the Punches.. We do face adversity, insult, injury, rejection… especially when we’re still learning.. still growing as a rising leader.

All of you had great response to it… and today, I was going to show you how to roll with the punches… I’ll do that next time. Today, I’ve decided to do something else.

I’m going to show you that you are among the Elite..

No really! You are already extremely successful.

It might take some time for the money to show up… but you truly are a winner!

Here are the demographics of the world… and where you fit in.

20% are paycheck people. They love their jobs.. they pride themselves in their education.. and their goal is to retire at the ripe old age of 55.

62% have no goals, so they are forced to help someone else with theirs. They don’t need to learn anything new other than a different brand of tool to do achieve the same goal as the last twenty years. They have the characteristics of a rocking chair – - always moving, but never going anywhere.

13% of people set high goals… They want to succeed.. have the big house, nice car, beautiful (handsome) spouse, travel, no boss, no limit to growth, no inventory, you know.. the whole ball o’ wax. But the moment they hit a bump, they realize it’s waaaay easier to have someone else tell them what to do, so they fall back into mediocrity. When you try to show them a better way, they’ll tell you ‘those things don’t work’.

Then there’s YOU. The 5%… you set those high goals and you get them.
You know it’s not over until you win!
It doesn’t matter how bad it is or how bad it gets, you’re gonna make it.
You’re the nut that grows to a mighty oak.
You know your faith can move mountains.
Wisdom, understanding are your best friends… and you pursue them on a constant basis.
Finding new and creative ways to increase the value of people around you is you primary passion.

Now… you’re thinking… “How can some dude on the internet that’s never met me… know I’m in the top 5%???”

You’re here, learning. You’re here, growing. You’re here sharing.

And if you’re not – after the next post:

You’re Gonna.

Rollin’ with the Punches!

So, you’ve got the Dream, you’ve got the Faith, you’ve got the Plan…

And you’re so excited, you get to work right away. First person you go and call is gonna be the most supportive, after all, you thought of them first, right? You bring your new idea to them and you’re all excited to partner with them and see where this new idea will take both of you!

And the response is…. “I can’t believe you’d do something like that! I thought way more highly of you than this! I don’t want to hear another word about this ever again!”

Now you’re just devastated and say… “But.. Mom!?”

You’ve faced a punch… now you’re going to have to make a decision. Watch this video that relates to this aspect of life – and check in below to share your experiences and thoughts!
